Movie Humor
I admit it: I'm a complete pushover for slapstick humor. And today's meme on Twitter, #unseenprequels*, has me in stitches. The idea: take a movie and slightly alter the title to come up with its prequel, which no one would have ever, ever paid to see. Hilarity ensues.
My favorites, in no particular order:
- @Bryce1984 The Lambs That Wouldn't Shut Up #unseenprequels
- @jchinchar #unseenprequels Some Like It Tepid
- @matthasarms: Apocalypse Soon. #unseenprequels
- @steviedunn: The Day the Earth Continued Spinning #unseenprequels
- @PCTim: #unseenprequels The OK, The not so OK, and the unatractive

- @KagroX: Still Plenty of Mohicans #unseenprequels
- @drywall: A Bunch of Mohicans #unseenprequels
- @RedGray: #unseenprequels Raiders of the Misplaced Ark

* Wondering what the deal with the # is? That's the marker for a "hashtag" on Twitter. It's how Twitter users easily add or denote a keyword, allowing everyone else to either find or refer to a topic easily. Search for all #unseenprequel tweets!

This past Saturday, on Oct. 31, many teenagers transitioned from trick-or-treating to seeing horror movies. Movie theaters everywhere were able to deliver these thrills, as this Halloween weekend numerous movies were definitely made to scare.
Even though the Michael Jackson documentary “This Is It” prevailed over all other horror movies, four movies seemed to shine through over the weekend.
Paranormal Activity triumphed as the number two movie of the weekend, raking in 16.5 million this weekend alone. This 16.5 million further adds to the 84.8 million dollars this film has earned in total, which is surprising due to its very low production budget.
Saw VI came in as the number five movie of the weekend with 5.6 million, and the creepy Cirque du Freak came in at number ten. Zombieland also followed at the number twelve spot, even though that movie focuses more on humor than true scares.
Even though the Halloween weekend has passed, these movies are still sure to make a scare, no matter the occassion.
